"Nintendo Bundles Redesigned Wii With Mario"

The news is that on October 23, 2011 Nintendo Of America will introduce a new model of Wii when a new bundle comes to stores. The current Wii bundle comes with the latest model and Mario Kart: Wii, for $150. As we all know, and if you don't, unlike the older version of Wii, the latest version of Wii is not backwards compatible with any gamecube accessories or games. So if you are the kind of person that really enjoys gamecube games, or likes to use their controllers then you should hold on to your older Wii. So if your a Nntendo fan look forward to the new Wii design and the new games coming in October.

I think that Nintendo is not making the right choice of removing the Wii's backwards compatibility function because, I'm sure that a lot of people use that function and they really like to play their older games on the system. Nintendo has a lot of major competitors like Sony's Playstation systems and Microsofts X-Boxs. From what I know, the PS3 is able to use games from it's very first system, the PS1. This is why the PlayStation systems are so popular. They give the consumers the ability to play the older games from their childhood. To be fair, nowadays some of those older games are forgotten because of the newer releases or remakes of them. My guess is that Nintendo is thinking that way.
